Thanks to shifting our office to new building!!That gave me the chance of watching the telugu movie 'Happy Days' as I had to pack my computer and had to leave home at 6pm. The movie started with parents accompanying their son/daughter to the first day of the college and the inexplicable feeling between them when they leave their child in the hostel. It just reminded me of my first day at nitt, when my parents left me in the hostel and departed waving their hands. Then comes the most scariest part of every student (actually parents!) who is joining the college - 'ragging'. Like, any normal college, the juniors have to call the seniors 'sir' (yeah, correct! only in front of them) and write assignments for them and similar things like that. It is because of this, the hero, heroine get to know each other and they form their own gang of friends. Slowly, they started to share their lunch, birthday parties, group studies, small fights etc etc..The movie also had some commercial things like one of the guys in the group is behind his class teacher and this is added just to add some extra fun in the movie. The important thing in the movie is that the director has not failed to keep the important happenings in the college life that every student out of college can correlate those things that happened during their college with the movie. One such incident that happened exactly with someone(you will find out soon!!) I know very well is that part where the hero(I dont know his name) and our heroine(Tamanna) are in their first year and one of the rowdy senior is behind Tamanna and the hero is in a situation where he cannot directly fight with that senior and also dying to help our heroine. This is exactly the same thing that happened between the 1 from our CS dept(who does 'vetti' velai all the time) i mentioned before who tried his best with all the master plans to protect his crush from Civil dept from her Civil dept rowdy 'rangan' senior. The remaining movie as usual will tell how the hero and hero-in fell in love with each other and how they separate and unite again it the climax.
Overall, the movie is a good time pass and you can re-call those Happy Days of your life!! Don't miss it if you get a chance to watch.

home trip !!
It feels as if it was just a second back I was happily dumping my clothes and things in the bag to catch my train from secunderabad station to go home but actually 10 days has passed by and I'm now back to my normal routine in Hyd.
I don't know why but my last trip to home (chennai actually and not dpi) was another moment in my life that I'll cherish for a long time. Nothing special happened this time actually, just spent 10 days in home, playing carom with my cousins, watching tv - everyone fighting to change to their favorite programs (from 6:30 to 10:00, no control but only serials!!), small fights, scarring my cousin who has just given his 10th board exams about his results, looking my sister's marriage album almost once everyday and making comments and stories from the pics (anand - my cousin rocks at those things!!). And above all, 10 days of home food (yes, this time no food from outside even for a single meal) and this time for the first time in my life, made some plans to meet some interesting friends(you know!!) but as usual did not execute it. Thanks to Chennai's killing hot weather that kept everyone inside the house for the entire day creating those happier moments!!
I never wanted to write about these things as they are part of life and we can't do anything other than to accept it as it is but this time, I wanted some means to express it instead of just keeping it inside and so this post..

Fight against Global Warming - Do your part now
As another step in fighting the global warming, some social welfare organization have come up with the initiative of switching off the power for about an hour on May 3rd in Hyderabad. They also have put up some simple suggestions of tackling the global warming which everyone can easily follow. I totally support their initiative and i'm planning to avoid using unnecessary power for the entire day. On the similar lines of making people aware how computers and other electronic devices have changed the life of an individual (be it good or bad), shutdown day is happening on the same day and i have already decided to participate. I thought I'll spend my day watching tv or roaming around for the whole day but now I'm planning to do something that will bring wellness to the society we live in.
I always insist people not to waste anything be it power, water (but who listens:) ) or whatever even it is cheap / or you can afford it easily. Most of the people i have seen are too careless and say what will it cause by saving few drops of water or power consumed by tv for additional half-an-hour. But my concern is that why to waste anything if we don't need it because there will always be someone somewhere benefited even by the meager resource we say. I sometime get very disappointed and angry seeing even the well-educated people don't understand these things / they think they don't have time to think about these things. They should feel it is everyone's responsibility to make our earth, a beautiful place to live in for our future generations.
I request the readers of this post - try to correct at least two or three of your activities that you feel might save our fast depleting resources. Some of the things i do generally are
1. Turn of the computer monitor whenever I'm not using it. ( If you are not using anything that consumes power (though it is very less), switch them off)
2. Turn of the vehicle's engine in the signals.
3. Close the water pipe completely. If you see some pipes leaking, try to close it completely or report to the concerned person who will take care of that.
4. Whenever I stay in a hostel/rooms, make sure to turn off the light and fan when you leave the room.
5. Try to avoid using vehicles when you can reach there by walk .
Another small thing that causes a huge impact on the air pollution is the under utilization of a vehicle. I mean, I call two people starting from a same nearby area and destined towards the same place using two cars is under utilizing the resource. You don't need to find people who are going to the same place as you are every time or go with a stranger, but if you and roommate are going to your workspace which is located nearer, just co-ordinate among yourself and go.
I know, together definitely we can fight global warming and save our EARTH!!
